Read time: 4 minutes
For 14 years, one company was a big part of my life.
It gave me growth, hard lessons, great people, and many memories.
At the end of June, that chapter came to a close.
I left my job.
And now, almost every part of my life is changing at once.
I have started working full-time for a new company.
I can work from anywhere in the world.
Next month, I will leave Germany.
Before that happens, I have a long list of things to handle.
I need to close my side business structures.
I need to finish tax reports.
I need to sort documents.
I need to cancel contracts.
I need to pack my things.
I need to decide what comes with me and what stays behind.
There is a lot going on.
But there is also a strong feeling of freedom.
Today, I want to give you a short life update.
More than that, I want to share one lesson that may help you when your own life starts to change.
I. The End of a Long Chapter
My last day at the company felt special.
I had prepared for it for more than six months.
I did not want to leave behind chaos.
I wanted my work to move forward without problems.
That meant sharing knowledge.
It meant writing things down.
It meant speaking with customers.
It meant preparing my successor.
It meant letting go of tasks that had been part of my daily life for many years.
That process took time.
It also took discipline.
On my last day, I invited my department to breakfast.
We sat together.
We ate.
We talked.
We laughed about old stories.
Later, I invited my leadership team for coffee and cake.
It was a simple goodbye.
But it meant a lot to me.
After 14 years, you do not leave only a job.
You leave routines.
You leave people.
You leave a role that became part of how you see yourself.
That is why change can feel strange.
You may know that your choice is right.
You may still feel sad.
You may feel excited in one moment.
Then you may feel unsure in the next moment.
Both feelings can be true.
II. Good Change Can Still Feel Hard
People often talk about change as if it should feel exciting all the time.
You quit the old job.
You start the new company.
You move to another country.
You build a new life.
It sounds bold.
It sounds fun.
It sounds like pure adventure.
Real change is often less clean.
It comes with boxes.
It comes with forms.
It comes with calls.
It comes with taxes.
It comes with questions you cannot answer yet.
There are days when your future feels wide open.
There are also days when you only see the next task on your list.
I think many entrepreneurs face the same thing.
You may be growing your business.
You may be changing your offer.
You may be hiring your first team member.
You may be leaving a safe job.
You may be moving to a new city.
You may be ending one project so you can focus on another.
These changes can be positive.
They can still drain your energy.
That does not mean you made the wrong choice.
It means you are human.
III. My Life Is Between Two Versions
Right now, I am between two versions of my life.
The old version is ending.
The new version has already started.
I have already begun my new full-time role.
The company gives me the chance to work from anywhere.
That brings a level of freedom I wanted for a long time.
At the same time, I am still handling the final tasks of my life in Germany.
For a few weeks, both worlds exist at once.
That can feel messy.
Your brain wants a clean break.
Life rarely gives you one.
You may start your new path before the old one is fully closed.
You may need to build while you are still packing.
You may need to focus on your future while finishing duties from your past.
The key is not to wait for perfect calm.
The key is to create small areas of clarity inside the mess.
IV. My Next Stops Are France and Georgia
My next step will first take me to France.
After that, I will move to Georgia.
Georgia will become my new home.
It is a big step.
It is also a step I have thought about for a long time.
I will share parts of this journey with you.
I will tell you what life there feels like.
I will share some of the good parts.
I will also share the hard parts.
But The MindLeader Secrets will not become a travel blog.
Our main focus will stay the same.
We will keep talking about mindset.
We will keep talking about health.
We will keep talking about wealth.
We will keep looking at the habits that help you build a stronger life and business.
The place around me will change.
The mission will stay.
That matters.
Your location can change.
Your job can change.
Your business can change.
But your main values can give you a stable base.
V. You Need an Anchor During Change
When many things change at once, you need an anchor.
An anchor is one simple part of life that stays steady.
It could be your morning routine.
It could be your training.
It could be your weekly planning session.
It could be your Saturday newsletter.
For me, this newsletter is one of those anchors.
No matter where I live, I can sit down and write.
I can take one lesson from my week.
I can turn it into something useful for you.
That gives me purpose.
Your anchor should be simple.
It should not need a perfect place.
It should not need a large team.
It should not need a lot of money.
It should work in busy weeks.
It should work during travel.
It should work when your plans change.
Ask yourself one question:
What habit keeps me connected to the person I want to become?
Keep that habit close.
VI. Do Not Carry Everything Into Your New Life
Moving forces you to look at every object you own.
You pick something up.
Then you ask yourself if it still belongs in your life.
Do I use it?
Do I need it?
Do I want to carry it into my future?
You can ask the same questions about habits.
You can ask them about projects.
You can ask them about beliefs.
You can ask them about business tasks.
Many people build a new life while carrying every old burden with them.
They keep every offer.
They keep every meeting.
They keep every routine.
They keep every fear.
Then they wonder why the new chapter feels as heavy as the old one.
A fresh start needs space.
You do not need to throw away everything from your past.
Your past gave you skills.
It gave you contacts.
It gave you wisdom.
But not every old part deserves a place in your next chapter.
VII. A Smooth Exit Is Part of Success
Some people only think about how they enter a new role.
They think less about how they leave the old one.
Your exit matters.
It shows your character.
I spent months preparing the handover of my work.
I wanted my successor to have the information he needed.
I wanted customers to know who would support them.
I wanted my team to keep moving without me.
That did not make my departure less exciting.
It made it more complete.
A good exit protects relationships.
It protects your name.
It also protects your own peace of mind.
The business world is smaller than it looks.
You may meet former customers again.
You may work with former team members again.
You may need advice from an old leader.
You may even return to the same field one day.
Leave doors open.
Leave people with respect.
Leave work in good order.
That is real leadership.
VIII. The One Tip for This Week
Here is your bite-sized lesson for today.
When life becomes busy, do not try to control the whole change at once.
Create a transition list with three parts:
Write down what you need to close.
Write down what you need to carry forward.
Write down what you want to begin.
Your list could look like this.
Close:
Cancel old contracts.
Finish open reports.
Hand over old tasks.
End projects with no future value.
Carry forward:
Keep your best habits.
Stay in touch with good people.
Use the skills you have built.
Protect your core values.
Begin:
Create your new work routine.
Set goals for your new chapter.
Build new local contacts.
Test new ideas.
This simple list creates focus.
It helps your brain see that you are not losing everything.
You are choosing what comes next.
IX. You Do Not Need to Feel Ready
I do not have every detail worked out.
There are still many tasks ahead.
There will be challenges I cannot see today.
There will be moments when plans change.
That is normal.
You do not need full certainty before you take a step.
You need enough courage for the next step.
Then you learn.
Then you adjust.
Then you take another step.
Many entrepreneurs wait too long.
They want a perfect plan.
They want a clear sign.
They want all risks removed.
That day rarely comes.
Your life moves forward when you act with incomplete information.
That does not mean acting without thought.
It means accepting that some answers appear only after you move.
My new chapter has started.
The boxes are not all packed.
The business structures are not all closed.
The final reports are not all finished.
But the direction is clear.
Sometimes, that is enough.
